35MM SUBTITLING
FILMPRINT’s subtitles are made using our own environmentally friendly technology that is based on etching.
EQUIPMENT:
a – preparation
All visual materials are digitalized using the Softel system. They are stored on our media server so they can be accessed for further processing at internal and external workstations. Data are strictly guarded. Files are accessible only to authorized individuals who need a hardware key to log onto the system. Subtitles are translated and edited in digital format.
b – printing subtitles by etching
Our laboratory utilizes a unique technology that is based on etching the emulsion from the film base. This technology produces excellent results and has earned high praise from professionals (projectionists, cinema operators, and film distributors) and movie-goers alike. FILMPRINT realizes that success should never be taken for granted. We are proud of our work and understand we have an obligation to consistently maintain our standards. That is why every project is subjected to careful inspection before it is considered complete.
It goes without saying that we pay close attention to the condition of the copies to be subtitled. We sometimes receive used copies that are not in mint condition. We use the “recono” system for removing minor scratches from damaged film emulsion.
